Light weight of thes Beck speedsters lets them really move with a little power i drove one once with an early 911S engine and it flew. The problem with them if you want a period correct appearance is that you cannot run large enough tires to take advantage of the power to weigt ratio. The real ones were difficult to drive fast and took a lot of skill yars ago. Today a Lotus Elise or variant, hopped up would run away and hide from a real 550 and or a Beck Spyder

It's a real 50's white knuckle ride but that's what makes it fun.

Very cool Murph.....seems like automotive manufacturers have long since lost touch with the simplicity & elegance that made those cars so nice.
