So one Lambo can't keep up with a Mini in the hills and they close the dealership ? That's pretty lame ! Seriously this is kind of sudden . Was there any inkling that they were not doing well or have they just relocated to a bigger facility ?

Supposedly $14,000,000 in debt and Feds closed them down. Everything was flat bedded out and there's a guard at the door making sure nothing is taken. I've heard other rumors, none positive.

What's the guard for, it's empty?

Apparantly not. The guard said there were some things of value inside and he's been hired to keep the ex owner out.

I thought the owner of OC Lambo owned this dealership as well?

Does anyone know if they owned the property outright or was leased?

I read leased at > $15K/month (which sounds outrageous).

Crikey!
how many sq. ft.?
better not be a net/net/net lease
I guess the freeway viewable signage is worth some coin but......

Sounds like we need a new Lambo dealership ;)

I wonder if that high rental amount also included the service warehouse that was located up the street.

Where am I gonna get my baby serviced now? I got a load a strippa's I got lined up to show this car off to an the damn thing has one a dem idiot lights on'."

UPDATE:

Automaker Working to Reopen Lamborghini Orange County

By Sherri Cruz

Orange County Business Journal Staff

Italy's Automobili Lamborghini Holding SPA is trying to help reopen its largest U.S. dealership, Lamborghini Orange County, which abruptly closed this week.

“This is our first priority,” said Pietro Frigerio, chief operating officer for Automobili Lamborghini, a unit of Germany’s Volkswagen AG that is in the process or relocating its North American headquarters to Santa Monica.

The automaker declined to say how it was helping or provide any word on the status of Lamborghini Orange County.

The Santa Ana dealership, the nation's top seller of pricey Italian Lamborghinis, closed due to undisclosed financial issues that aren't related to the economy.

“We do not have all of the information and, therefore, cannot comment on the status of Lamborghini Orange County’s financial situation,” Frigerio said.

He said the management at Lamborghini Orange County made a few "unfortunate business decisions, independent of Automobili Lamborghini, which have caused the current issues that they are trying to resolve now.”

Siblings Vik, Nora, Sossi and Astrid Keuylian own and run Lamborghini Orange County.

Their 4,000 square-foot Calabasas Lamborghini dealership, which opened in 2007, also is closed.

Calls made to the family haven't been returned.

Earlier this week, the dealer’s receptionist said it was undergoing an “ownership change” and would reopen in about 10 days.

Phones weren't being answered Thursday.

Representatives for the state attorney general's office and the Orange County district attorney’s office said they have no information about the dealership's closure.

Lamborghini owners for now will have to turn to Lamborghini Beverly Hills or Lamborghini San Diego for service.

Here's a post and a reply from another board:

But Vik need to give the local SOCAL community that has supported him for years, a reason and explination.

Look....Lambo OC did not close it's doors at the snap of a Banks decision...it was probably in the making for months.

What we Lambo fans want to know is.. "Will the dealership re-open soon?"

Vik basically surprised us all by quickly closing the doors.
It's because he suddenly closed his doors, that "untruthful" rumors are flying.

It would have been nice for Vik to give notice..."Hey, business is slow, we are moving to a new more cost-effective location."

I speak for everyone, Vik is a a great guy. I have met him 2 times. His dealership is known for being honest, no-nonsense business friendly dealership with great customer service, and top notch service department.

We all wish Vik the best of luck, and we as a community support him and wish him continued success.

Vik knows, the economy will turn around, and Vik will be again throwing lavish big parties again.

Best of Luck Vik !!!!!

Thanks,
UZY

As my accountant always says "There's a lot of dumb money out there." The go-karts at MB2 are more worthwhile than a pretentious Lamborghini except for those magnificent 350 & 400 GTs
