My father was a car guy to the bone. He was either building a Pantera into his dream machine (what he like to call a Countach Killer) and showing it up at Pebble Beach's Concurs Italia, or racing his Formula V and Formula Ford. He might not have been able to afford a Ferrari but he sure could turn a wrench. My love of racing came directly from him and his father. I have so many great memories of days out at Riverside and Ontario watching some of the greats in American racing. Fitting that he went when Phil Hill took his last lap as well.
